It's amazing how they cast the feet. When they took the cast off, there were Alan's feet, perfectly preserved, up on the counter. We looked in amazement. The guy said 'now they will do a plaster mold and soon he'll have his new shoes, and they will be made JUST for him. They will allow for the foot ulcer, his tailor bunions,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], EVERYTHING. He had to remove the cast with a saw. Holy Cow!!
Very interesting day. (and if you want to have a good laugh, go to Social Chat and see what happened to me in NYC when I went shopping for the first time at Wholesale Foods. That was SOME experience.

I still can't believe that they just wrap your feet, stick a long yellow tube down the front of your feet (about 13 inches long), then they place wet wrappings around the whole foot (after drawing on it ), and in one minute flat, they have to use a saw to cut it open.
What the heck is in these dressings that they dry in one minute.
And when he cracked it open slightly, and slid Alan's foot out from it,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], he just snapped it back together and placed them on the counter.
To see a complete representation of Alan's bunions, well we laughed so hard.
I mean,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], IT WAS HIS FEET, right there on the counter. And there I was, going "Alan, he captured your bunions".
I mean, Alan has some tailor bunions going on, (even though he had them operated on 4 or so years ago),[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], they grew back. They don't hurt any more though, thankfully.
I wonder if these shoes will help with the neuropathy between his toes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. He has high hopes.
He's been doing these toe stretching exercises too.
He uses it on his feet and he's asleep in five minutes flat,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
