Cyprus-born Katherine Hooker's curiosity about fashion was initially piqued when she discovered a black silk coat inside a junk shop in Jerusalem, which had belonged to a 14-year-old Hasidic boy, and became entranced with its high, under-the-armpits and narrow-shouldered cut.
She opened her Chelsea studio in 2001 and gradually developed a loyal fan base which today includes - apart from her most well-known royal customer - the Countess of Wessex, Sarah Brown, Yoko Ono, Jerry Hall, Kirstie Allsopp, Plum Sykes and Jemma Kidd.
The new cashmere made-to-order collection will prove to add a new level of luxury to her existing main collections,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which are semi-bespoke, with prices beginning with £470 for jackets, and coats from £520.
