New running shoes with revolutionary cushioning technology

ADIDAS Malaysia recently unveiled the Energy Boost - a pair of running shoes from its new Energy Running segment that features Boost,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a trademarked revolutionary cushioning innovation touted to provide the ultimate running experience.
"The foundation of the Boost innovation is centred on its new cushioning material,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which not only provides the highest energy return in the running industry, but also holds its performance in almost any condition at unparalleled levels,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," said Adidas Malaysia brand communications and sports marketing manager Bryan Gee.
Adidas worked with its partner, leading chemical company BASF,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], to develop the solid granular material (TPU) that forms thousands of small energy capsules that make up the footwear's distinctive midsole.
With their unique cell structure, these capsules store and release energy more efficiently in every stride.
"When tested in a variety of temperatures ranging from +40 to -20°C, the Boost foam was found to be three times more temperature resistant than the standard EVA material that is commonly used in most running shoes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], thus providing a more consistent run.
"It does not stiffen or become too cushy in colder or warmer temperatures. The Boost foam also maintains its key characteristics when used up till 500km,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," said Adidas Malaysia Adidas Running category manager Ethan Ng.
Other features of the Energy Boost are the Adidas Techfit technology with highly durable and elastic polyurethane that provides optimal comfort and support to the entire foot while in motion,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Adiwear outsole that reduces wear in key sole areas and extends the life of the shoe,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a breathable mesh material that offers the fit of a sock,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and engineered powerbands that provide targeted support and stabilise the foot where needed when moving.
The Energy Boost is compatible with miCoach - a platform of devices and software that collects data during training and games,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and incorporates programmes designed to improve speed, endurance,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and strength.
"The Energy Boost is constructed to provide an excellent experience for running, from the heel to transition to toe-off movements," said Ng.
"It has received positive feedback from the everyday people and professional runners who have tested the running shoes. While it is most ideal to be used as running shoes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the Energy Boost can still be used for other forms of exercise."
Gee said the Energy Boost is the first product from the new Energy Running segment that aims to cater to the one need every athlete has - energy,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
"While the Energy Boost is the only product available from the Spring Summer 2013 season,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], customers can expect more from the Fall Winter 2013 season that is slated to be released in June.
