VA groups largely oppose Filner's plan, which he said happens because they're "tied in" to the present system and just wish to tinker round the edges.
"We want to discuss the glory of the war, how patriotic it's, but we do not wish to target the costs of war, what goes on when these men and women come back,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," he explained. "We don't want to pay an excessive amount of attention to it, because it undercuts what every government wants,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and that is support for the war it carries out."
