Post Moraya Bay beach front denied to the public
Moraya Bay beach front denied to the public
by the developer.
Signature Communities discussed a stunning deal, on a self-employed basis, With the Collier County Commissioners a few years ago that allowed them to construct a building higher than the County legal limits.
The County caved into your developer over citizen protests,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], And the County is now regarding allowing an approximately 110 foot high building. That was the least of of cheap checks perceived at that time.
a predicament,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Which no one had probable, Was the width of the property that virtually filled the lot of the former "traditional landmark, ones Vanderbilt Inn, Thereby embarrassing the views of all to the east of this monster!
you see, the "credits" found, By unsecured Communities, Was that they would give up some land to the North of their property to allow an access walkway to the beach; A roundabout for web traffic control to Wiggins State Park; And land for public rest rooms to the beach goers comfort and sanitary issues.
Sounds like a pretty good deal for the County Commissioners who have invariably been stressed to get access and parking to the beach for the public: just?
certainly, As the story plot goes, One who does not learn from history is doomed to repeat it. web developers are a shrewd lot. there exists new wrinkle in Signature Communities "fighting strategy" As I see it that has just manifested an ugly side to this "settlements, personal Communities has marked their beach property line with survey stakes and cones marked Moraya Beach, personalized.
wednesday March 1st, Beach goers respected the signage and aligned themselves an estimate of 10 feet from the water to the Moraya staked property line. The greater beach area "possessed" By Moraya was without any human occupancy.
incredible, so you'll want to be a Moray Bay Condo owner sitting by yourself with all that space while the less fortunate can barely find a space to sit? And since the high tide is in, you will see NO beach for the public!
i believe that Signature Communities "concessions" Are virtually useless since the space on the beach is so limited that it would not be economical to build restrooms for a few beach goers. Even the new parking area built this fall for the the desired beach goers is now a waste of money. All this is due to the assertion of rights and limits to the beach by Signature Communities; Nice job signature bank Communities!
Questions to ponder for my part:
Was the County duped into height waivers when the public would not benefit?
Will other beach front families in Florida restrict the public to the beach? specific Ritz Carlton, At Vanderbilt shore, Has recently been successful in keeping the nonhotel guests from occupying the beach while you're watching hotel,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], take a look at Signature Communities? Or any other beach front house owner?
Shall the beach people be assessed for beach renourishment done with public money when the public does not benefit,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]?
Will Naples loose tourists and suffer and economic loss devoid of producing beach?
Would you wish to be an owner at Moraya Bay with the stigma of this fiasco?
is that "real" For the rich to inherit the planet earth or the beach in Florida?
If lakewood ranch law is not changed, Then we have failed as a society to protect the basic freedoms given us.
Will other beach front property owners in Florida restrict the public to the beach? some Ritz Carlton, At Vanderbilt beach, Has recently been successful in keeping the nonhotel guests from occupying the beach before the hotel, so why not Signature Communities? Or any other beach front house owner?
one particular. A rock pushed down a hill continues to gather moss.
Shall the beach households be assessed for beach renourishment done with public money when the public does not benefit?
the latest. A county employee was helping the RitzCarlton GM snow men and women and create a media spin. Same person could be copying the GM of the Ritz on emails, that had been in the paper a while back, And publishing misleading signs on the beach, Saying to fellow workers that he had to help the Ritz. Nobody. The City of Naples has a public beach policy plus they are pretty well amazed to watch Vanderbilt Beach being privatized. The Ritz would get snowed the TV crews and the newspaper, But the very same thing is now happening at Moraya Bay. The public in the old days welcome here. The only historic using the beach bordering this vacant structure is public. The only historic standby time with the beach at the RitzCarlton's northern boundary is public. A county employee might be focusedon helping the GM of the RitzCarlton mislead the public and the media, But just let those clowns try to take over the beach that is going to be used and enjoyed by the public. Collier county's tourism dollars are used to develop these beaches. we begin giving the tourists a warm welcome.
As a new who owns a condo (A bank Community btw) close Moraya, I'm very disappointed by the greed of Signature Properties and the total disregard of it's other property shortly to the East. I fear for the worthiness of our property. I'm sure we would have thought about other investment locations had we been informed of Signatures intentions and am sure buyers looking in this area will consider the same. I'm all for the free Market and capitalism and it's companies like Signature who capitalize on and act with dismissive greed that give the free market a bad name. I would have been learning had they sectioned off a smaller section of the beach for their tenants,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], But they took your thing and they and their owners do it smuggly. all of a sudden, Our dream that we've worked so hard and saved so long fora place within walking distance of the beachhas been spoiled. but still, Signature allows pet owners at Moraya to be their "guests" At our property where I use hard-earned dollars to pay the hefty dues. It's a really hard and bitter pill to swallow.
