Canada is a separate country from Britain now, without any real obligations to the Monarchy, yet we pay homage using the position of Governor General. Again,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], that individual who was not elected, yet wields more power compared to Pm,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and appoints in regards to a third of the Mps, about 110 of them, that make up Parliament (the "Upper House"). The other two-thirds,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], or about 310 seats,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], are elected by regional votes in each Province during federal elections (the "Lower House").
It appears the founding fathers wrote this overview about the politics of Canada. The founding fathers of Monty Python's Flying Circus, that is. You actually need to dig deep to discover such a political party stands for, because the election-time campaigns will always be just attack ads against the other heads of the major political parties; the Liberals,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], New Democrats (instead of the original copies), the Green Party (better than the blues!), the Conservatives (yes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], they do wear cheap shoes), the Marijuana Party (only in Canada, you say?) and candidates with no national party.
Canadian Parliament has a limited number of seats, and giving a third of that bill-passing and budget-approval capacity to people who receive their seats,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], rather than being elected through the citizens who will be paying their extravagant salaries throughout their lives, seems rather Draconian, Roman,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Communist,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], or, gads, even British. Yet, Canada doesn't have a Communist party, they all just seem that way.
