Tai Chi Shoes
I have been practicing tai chi since 1986. During these years I have tried and worn a variety of shoes for training and practicing in various styles of Tai Chi. These days, my focus is on Chen Tai Chi,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which arguably is the most physically demanding of the various Tai Chi styles that are typically practiced around the globe today. Chen Tai Chi is the ORIGINAL Tai Chi style,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and because of that,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], if the needs of practice of Chen Tai Chi can be satisfied,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], than it is very likely that the shoes recommended will work well for the other styles of Tai Chi as well.
Pictured above is a pair of 'typical' tai chi shoes that people usually think of. They are made in China and very inexpensive. Those shoes are junk really, offering little traction, little support,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and fit is usually not optimal either. I don't recommend those at all!
In actuality, any good, comfortable shoe or sneaker can be worn to practice tai chi; however,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I don't recommend them due to weight issues, questions about lateral support, or costs in general. In addition, it is a light shoe, and offers good support and traction for all the demands of jumping,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], pivoting,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and sustaining deep and low stances. It's a great shoe and is seen adorning the feet of many tai chi masters in China. This is my personal recommendation for the best choice in a Tai Chi Shoe.
Here is another great shoe that I have tried which is similar to the Asics Tai Chi mentioned above. This shoe is a bit different in that there is no lacing system, but rather uses a velcro tab for security instead. This is a very fast,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], very comfortable shoe to don and doff, and it offers many of the traits I find desirable in a tai chi shoe. My teacher was reluctant to recommend them, as he felt that there wasn't sufficient cusioning, and that fit may not be optimal. Despite his complaints, though,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I was determined to try these out because they were so inexpensive,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and ALL my wu shu friends ( I know A LOT of those guys!) insisted these would suffice for my training.
First off, the price is exemplary! These are inexpensively made in China, and offer sufficient cushioning. Lateral support is a bit lacking; however,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the traction is very good, and it also allows for comfortable pivoting motions. My teacher was correct,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], though,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], that fit was NOT as good as possible. These shoes tend to run a bit narrow in my experience.
With the canvas tops, these shoes dirty very rapidly and they diminish in appearance very fast. While comfortable for several weeks, in casual wear,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], these shoes are highly subject to weather conditions and in icy weather, offer VERY little traction.
That said, I believe these are possibly the best values for a Tai Chi Shoe. They are inexpensive enough, that we can purchase one pair for class, and have a spare for the car, or locker. And still have some money left over, when compared to the Asics or Puma models. However, I believe that serious practitioners of Tai Chi will be better served by spending the money on the former choices over the feivues.相关的主题文章:
